A Remarkable Premier League Season at the top - Is it?

With only a few hours left for a new English Premier League Champion it's nail biting time for Liverpool and Manchester City fans, with all neutrals wondering if there is one last change at the top of the table. How close can it get ?  Manchester City have the title in their grasp. A win or atleast a draw is enough to secure them their 2nd league title in 3 seasons. For sure they wouldn't want a repeat of their 1st title win when they won the league in the penultimate seconds of matchday 38.

Getting back to the current season, the title challenge has always been a four horse race. Should have been five but with Manchester United having a disastrous season Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City were left to go for it amongst themselves. Till about a few weeks back there were no clear title winners. After an initial good run Arsenal's title challenge fizzled out in the later half leaving just the 3 to fight it out. However poor results for Chelsea against some of the bottom half teams meant they didn't do themselves any favors.

The dream lingers on...

This was the day all Chelsea fans were waiting, for the return of the Special One. Mourinho's 1st spell in charge was still fresh in mind. However his lack of European Glory with the Blues was something the fans were waiting to end when they played Atlético Madrid at the Bridge. Sadly the bridge no longer seems to be a fortress. After Chelsea lost their 1st home game in 77 games under Mourinho against Sunderland a win was the least that could have made up for it. A 3-1 defeat not just put Chelsea out of the competition but might ensure a 2nd trophyless season for Mourinho.

A new beginning with PitchSideViews

A lot of us don't get to the stadium for every game. We have our TVs, laptops, mobile phones, giant screens as our stadium and couches, chairs as our stands from where we enjoy the best game on this planet. We have our opinions before the games and after the game ends there are endless discussions and analysis. We discuss with not just our friends but also on social media like Facebook and Twitter with random folks with one common interest, Football!!

Or you could just get out of bed and shoot a lazy prediction. It might be wrong but who cares, not everyone is Paul the Octopus :)
